In the heart of the Amazon, researcher Jade embarks on a quest for a mysterious healing plant and the vanished villagers. The discovery of a glowing plant leads to betrayal and danger. Jade escapes with the precious sample but faces adversity and a transformative encounter with the forest's guardians. Through sacrifice and selflessness, Jade becomes the guardian of the rainforest, embodying the moral that breaking the cycle of selfish gain requires selfless deeds to protect what is truly important.
[DE] CAFFEINATED CREATIVES
Working with a creative team was a new and enlightening experience for me. While it shares similarities with group collaboration, I quickly realized that the dynamics were distinct. Within our team, I encountered a spectrum of personalities, each with its approach and perspective.
Some of my teammates came across as rather stubborn. It became evident that they believed the direction of our project deviated from our initial discussions. Conversely, some were eager to take on every task, leaving the rest of us feeling somewhat overshadowed.
Navigating these diverse personalities within the group forced me to learn valuable lessons in handling such situations. I discovered the importance of compromise, ensuring everyone had a voice and the opportunity to contribute. It was essential to strike a balance so each team member felt valued and heard.
In this collaborative journey, I also evolved as I learned to advocate for my ideas and vision for the project. I realized the significance of standing up for what I believed in and guiding the project in a direction that integrated everyone's input.
By sharing my experiences and supporting my teammates in expressing their perspectives, we collectively shaped a project that reflected our combined creativity and vision.

BUILDING THE STORY
Working on this project, I discovered the art of storytelling and character development in animation. We began with the Story Spine, a simple yet powerful tool to structure our ideas. Minor beats added depth to our scenes, bringing them to life.
The most significant change was in my ability to develop characters. I learned to see them as living, breathing entities with unique roles in the story. This experience ignited my passion for storytelling and character creation, forever altering how I approach creative projects.

Working on these sketches, I found it quite tricky since I was working with a different style of artwork that I don't usually do. So, it helped me get out of my comfort zone, and it helped me learn more about a character's design, as well as their personality and who they are.
